Today was a school field trip to a farm and petting zoo. It was great fun (save for the multiple tantrums of the century by one child and a complete teary-eyed breakdown by me, but hey, tomorrow’s a new day, right?)
We saw and did lots of neat things. We milked a cow, held baby chickens and ducks, pet goats, chased after adult chickens, went on a hay ride, rode a train. It was great!
When I asked my Bigs what his favorite part about our day was, he said that he LOVED holding the baby chickens and ducks. That was my favorite party too. They were PEEPING, like for real. It was so cute.
In honor of that, I made a baby duck themed lunch for my Bigs.
I made a duck shaped PB&J and used my yellow Food Writer to outline his shape and wings, and my orange Food Writer for the beak. I sprayed a light gold color on him and used a candy eye ball. Ducky is sitting on a lake of grapes, TJ’s plantain chips, and a few Goldfish crackers. I also packed vanilla yogurt (tinted blue) with chick sprinkles, and seasoned corn.
Quack.
Blessings to you!
